The Truth About Vegan Chocolate

posted 11th May 2020

I've just eaten a whole family sized bar of Galaxy Smooth Orange Vegan chocolate and now I feel the need to justify my gluttonous behaviour. It was so damn good!
I'm a foodie. I love food. I expect intense flavours and I'm pretty particular. I'm also plant based. So when someone tells me a vegan dish is good they better not follow up with the words 'for a vegan'.
Being vegan doesn't mean I accept weaker flavour, worse produce or watered down ice cream. No way. I expect my meals and treats to be as good, if not better than before. I don't even want to try chocolate that's good... 'considering'.
I've discovered a whole world of chocolate that's way better than the original dairy versions and I'm about to share that world with you.
So here are my top vegan chocolates that are better than your cow breast milk filled shit:

Galaxy Smooth Orange Vegan
It does exactly what its title expresses. It's as smooth as silk and instantly dissolves on the tongue. The hint of orange is delicate and it's thinner cut squares add to the feeling of a chic after dinner moment. Until you devour the whole pack. Easy mistake to make. This is my number one for a reason, there's no way this list is gonna be "in no particular order" I've already told you I'm particular and this is unapologetically my order of preference.

Booja-Booja
If you value damn beautiful chocolate be ready to value it highly because the price of these bad boy truffle cubes are sky high however you'll be arigato'ing every penny spent when the cubes land on your tongue. A hardened chocolate outer shell cracked easily as the smoother centre bursts with hazelnut (or champagne) flavours depending on what you choose from their vast array of deliciousness.

Natures Heart: GoldenBerry
Most good health food shops store these little bags of raw cocoa covered golden berry goodness and they are a kick of pure joy. And I mean kick. When you least expect it there's a fruity tang that makes you tremor like you've just bitten into a bitter Granny Smith apple and then it's instantly relaxed by that gooey chocolatey happy feeling again. Delicious and tangy.

Vego
If you're a traditionalist this is your bar. Thick, heavy and as close to a Cadbury's dairy milk as you can get, without the animal abuse and allergies. It's also a fuck tonne creamier. Up your game.
