BT Sport Industry Awards

Last night at the BT Sport Industry Awards the evening's host Mark Durden-Smith kept the crowd on their toes by treading the fine line of controversy. Amongst blaming David Haye for being a bit dramatic about a 'verruca' and asking Olympic diver Tom Daley whether he was to blame for the pregnancies of his Team GB team mates Jessica Ennis-Hill and Laura Kenny, Mark made a host of highly entertaining comments that I thought could get someone, somewhere in a whole heap of trouble. I loved him and was gripped to his every word.

I was invited to present the Digital Platform of the year award alongside Gethin Jones and what a wonderful surprise to present that award to BBC Sport!

Sadly the ground breaking F2 show, which I anchored alongside the F2 boys, did not win Entertainment Experience of the year... it bloody should have, but thankfully there were a whole host of highlights from the evening to help me drown my sorrows.

My personal highlights included talking recovery with a giant David Haye. Chatting to both Riyad Mahrez and Amir Khan together...side by side and attempting not to be totally distracted by their similarity...

And dancing with ex Scotland rugby international, my ESPN Rugby co-host, Rory Lawson who is quickly becoming my new best friend.

All round a most wonderful evening!
