Layla has firmly established herself as one of the most popular television presenters with online audiences, fronting content for pioneering channels in their field such as adidas, UEFA, ESPN, KICK TV and Goal. So much so is Layla’s success in multi-platform content that she has had two of her self devised, scripted and presented YouTube series picked up for weekly broadcast by international TV network Eleven Sports.
Layla is often revered as a presenter consistently at the forefront of the digital current. In 2014 she was headhunted by adidas to co-anchor their live World Cup series ‘The Dugout’. The show drove more than 15 million visits from YouTube to the brand’s website, trebled their YouTube subscribers and earned over 1.5 billion YouTube impressions!
Layla continues to work with the brand who entrusted her with rare interviews with both Messi and David Beckham, fronting two series' of their Champions League show GameDay+, and most recently co-presenting with F2 on their debut live show and BT Sport Industry Award nominated ‘F2 Show Live’ - Of which the brand reach for the series of four live shows was in excess of 27 Million.
Possessing a proud Brazilian heritage, Layla is also the leading UK talent for reports in Brazil, including covering the riots at the 2013 Confederations Cup, and returning in 2014 with her own series to investigate life behind the Brazilian World Cup for Kick TV. Most recently Layla has been in Brazil to presenting the 2017 Rio Carnival for Red Bull TV live, as well as the Wings For Life World Run.
It is not only digital channels where Layla has been making waves, she's firmly established herself in the domestic and international TV formats as well.
Layla was hand picked by Danny Boyle in 2012 to narrate the London Olympic opening ceremony in both English and French live to an audience of nearly 1 billion, from which stemmed an illustrious UK television career. This has seen her present for the likes of ITV with their prime-time returnable series, The Munch Box, as well as present highly popular content for the likes of Nickelodeon, Sky Sports and Channel 4.
With an interest in world culture, Layla is a trusted talent when it comes to international coverage. She has trekked the French Alps to front Channel 4’s Trois Etapes; been flown cross continent to cover The Red Hook Crit; reported direct from Austria at the famed Red Bull Airpower event; and even relocated to Mumbai to anchor live studio coverage of the Indian Super League for India’s most revered sports channel, Star Sports.
With so many capabilities, it’s no wonder that Layla is also an extremely sought after live host. She has presented in front of crowds of over 20,000 for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, hosted awards for the likes of L’Oreal and The Guardian, and is a trusted talent when presenting live Q+A’s with names such as Pele and José Mourinho!
